Summary
Automation Portal Siemens LOGO driver supports connecting with the Siemens LOGO 0BA7 BM via LAN. The step-by-step instructions below show the user how to configure a connection between Automation Portal Historian and a Siemens LOGO 0BA7 Basic Module using LOGO! Soft Comfort v.7.
Procedure
Step 1: First start Siemens LOGO! Soft Comfort and open an existing LOGO project. Make sure that the LAN properties are already configured and that the LOGO is connectable via LAN.
Step 2: Secondly, in LOGO! Soft Comfort under Tools menu, open the Ethernet Connections panel.
Step 3: In the Peer-to-Peer Connections groupbox, right-click the Ethernet Connections and click Add connection.
Step 4: Thereafter, double-click on the newly added connection to open the connection properties panel.
Step 5: Tick the Server Connection radio button and tick the Connect with an Operator Panel (OP) checkbox as well as the Accept all connection requests checkbox. Fill in the Remote Properties TSAP field, f.e.: 03.00. Write down the local TSAP and the remote TSAP as we will need them later on.
Step 6: Once everything is set up in LOGO! Soft Comfort, download the changes to the LOGO device.
Step 7: Open Automation Portal Historian and click the Add New Connection icon.
Step 8: Fill in the General parameters, make sure the Connection Name is unique.
Step 9: Now open the Connection tab. In the Connection tab, enter the IP address of the LOGO device in the IP Address field. Select LOGO 0BA7 from the LOGO Type combobox. The 0BA7 specific connection parameters will appear.
Step 10: Fill in the Local TSAP and Remote TSAP parameters as shown in the picture below.
Step 11: Finally, click Save to save the configured Siemens LOGO 7 connection. At this point, tags can be added for this connection.
